Corsica at the birth of Bonaparte

For several years, the national museum of the Maison Bonaparte in Ajaccio, Napoleon's birthplace where his family lived since the end of the 15th century, has been exploring with talent the history of Corsican society, the architecture of patrician houses, their furnishings and the art of living in Corsica in the 18th century.

For the first time, the synthesis of these works will be presented at the national museum of the castles of Malmaison and Bois-Préau on the first floor of the newly restored castle of Bois-Préau.

Under the direction of : Elisabeth CAUDE, general curator of heritage, director of the Service à Compétence Nationale des musées nationaux des châteaux de Malmaison et Bois-Préau, de l'île d'Aix et de la Maison Bonaparte à Ajaccio

Curator of the exhibition: Jean-Marc OLIVESI, general curator of heritage in charge of the collections of the Maison Bonaparte in Ajaccio, with the administrative and documentary collaboration of Odile BIANCO.
